First Visit, Office Hours and Policies

Our Citrus County Dental Office team is committed to your total health care. Our purpose is to provide the highest levels of prevention, restoration and oral care.
Office Hours: Our office is open 8-5 Monday thru Thursday for Dr. Sierra. This office is also open on Saturdays from 9-5 with Dr. Toro for pediatric dentistry.
First Visit:
Your first visit to the doctor typically includes a series of x-rays that
allows the doctor to view the structure of the jaw, the position
of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots, tooth
decay, etc.
The initial visit also involves getting your medical history. When
you share your medical history with the doctor, be sure to provide
complete, up-to-date information on your health. Inform your
dentist if you have experienced recent hospitalization or surgery,
or if you have recently been ill. Also tell the doctor the names,
doses, and frequency of any medications you are taking — whether
prescription or over-the-counter products — and the name of your
physician. Inform the doctor of any changes in your health or
medications. This information will help the doctor to select the
most safe and effective method of treatment for you.
Consultation:
After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss any
follow-up treatment with you in detail, including the cost for
your particular case at no charge.
Regular Appointments:
Regular checkup appointments typically take 30 to 60 minutes.
We also see emergency patients on a first-come, first-served
basis. Please call our office as early in the day as possible to
allow us to fit you into our busy schedule. We make every effort
to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same
courtesy to us.

options.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy: Office hours are by appointment and we do value your time. This office is a private dental office and not a dental 'clinic'. Appointment time is reserved for you alone. Where appropriate, we prefer to schedule longer appointments so we can complete as much needed dental treatment as possible during one appointment. We feel this type of scheduling will cause minimal disruption to your daily schedule and will provide efficiency in completing your dental care. When you make an appointment, please be sure that you will be able to keep it. Morning appointments are best for complicated procedures.
Emergencies and unforeseen patient treatment problems may arise, causing schedule changes. Emergencies are unexpected and seem to come at the most inconvenient times. If you have a dental emergency that needs immediate attention, we will always offer to see you as soon as is possible. There will be an after hours emergency number provided to reach Dr. Sierra by calling the office at (352) 726-2849. We expect that other patients who might be slightly inconvenienced by this will understand the situation. At some point, they too may need the same courtesy extended.
Unlike many offices, this office does call to confirm your appointment. Please make a note of any dental appointments we have scheduled in a place where you will be easily reminded to help reduce scheduling conflicts. If you cannot make an appointment as scheduled, please notify the office. there will be a charge of $25 (subject to change without notice) for a broken appointment for cancellation with less than 24 hours notice. If you have any questions about our appointment cancellation and no-show policy, please feel free to contact us.
Cost: The cost
of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You
will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment
begins. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans, and
file the necessary papers to the insurance company as a courtesy.
* For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa, Mastercard,
Discover and Cash.
