Dr. Sierra graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry in 2000. After graduation he moved to upstate New York where he trained and completed two General Practice Residency Programs at Faxton-St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in Utica, NY and the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital/Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York.

Upon completion of his post-graduate training he and his wife Mariel, who is a board certified Family Physician, moved to North Carolina where he worked in private practice. He also served Special Needs populations doing hospital dentistry and performing comprehensive dentistry cases in the operating room under general anesthesia.

In order to provide his patients with the best and most advanced treatment options Dr. Sierra has been actively taking continuing education courses on sedation, TMJ disorders, occlusion, implant dentistry, obstructive sleep apnea, restorative techniques and many others with some of the best speakers and experts in those fields.

In late 2006, Dr. Sierra and his family moved to Florida, and searching for a place to call home, discovered Citrus County. During the fall of 2007 he moved to Inverness and assumed the practice of Dr. Stephen Howard who had been in buisness since 1989. Ever since, he has been providing quality dental care in a family atmosphere with his caring staff.
